Camera Op The Eagle
“Whatever angle, The Eagle will get it.”
Michael P. Featherdust, or, “The Eagle,” is one of the industries legendary camera operators. Having started on such films as “Woofy and the Bandit,” “Saturday Night Anteater,” and “The Three Fishes,” his eye for getting any camera shot is unrivaled.
His drive for doing what he does has led him into the Animal Film Institute, where he mentors young talent, including Toto the Giraffe. Always ready with a joke, The Eagle is a treasure on any film crew.
The film he currently works on is called Frog-Frog Land, and it’s his first ever musical. He, like the others, have worked with director J. Frog and Wild On Set before, but never on a musical. New territory, new worries.
For, despite all his success, The Eagle still doubts his abilities.
A cabinet full of awards doesn’t keep the anxiety away, and despite the trust of an entire town he doesn’t feel like some great camera operator.
He just feels like he’s trying to do his job. He feels that, someday, someone will find out that he isn’t very good. At least, that’s what he tells himself.
Which is why he’s getting ready to retire.
He hasn’t told anyone, not even Toto, that Frog-Frog Land will be his last.
He just hopes the movie will land on its feet.
The Eagle: Soar high, shoot low. Get the job done.
